Dyson, with the aim to become the go-to authority in the hair care category, is investing $500 million to fuel product innovations. Dyson will make use of the funds to open beauty research labs and to develop 20 hair care products over the span of next four years. Some of the funds would be allocated by the company to research, engineer and create technological innovations while seeking insights from the consumers about their hair care habits. Based on a decade of research, the company has been launching several hair dryers, straighteners, curling irons since 2016. The research allowed the brand to care for all types of hair by reducing exposure to extreme heat that damages hair. Their recent research has alsoallowed given them toan understandingalldifferent hair types, styling behaviours and hair health around the world better. Dyson claims that this will help them create better hair tools for all hair types.
