The Dutch chemicals manufacturer DSM and French ingredients company Firmenich have entered into a business combination agreement (the “BCA”) to create a global leader in beauty, nutrition and well-being called DSM-Firmenich. This merger will bring together Firmenich’s Perfumery and Taste businesses, blending in the former’s state-of-the-art science base along with DSM’s health and nutrition capabilities and scientific expertise. The merger brings together the capabilities of both companies, each with a 100 year legacy. The new company will have four complementary and high-performing businesses with world-class scientific capabilities and expertise in taste, texture, beauty and nutrition.
