A complaint has been filed against Fenty Beauty, a skincare and cosmetics brand by Rihanna with the National Commission for Protection of Child Rights (NCPCR) in India by the non-governmental organization called Legal Rights Observatory. The complaint claims that the brand doesn’t have the requisite certification to prove that the Mica (a silicate mineral) used in its products isn’t sourced from mines in Jharkhand where ‘child labourers work in dire conditions. Following the complaint, an investigation has been pursued by LRO and has asked for Fenty Beauty to prove it has the supply chain clearance certification for the same.
