The Aesthetic and Anti-Ageing Medicine World Congress (AMWC) India 2023, the first Indian edition of the global AMWC event series was hosted at Hotel Sahara Star, Mumbai by Informa Markets India. The main aim of the event was to bring top experts in Indian Aesthetic Medicine along with their global counterparts together to discuss latest advances in this industry.
The inaugural ceremony was graced by famous Indian and global experts such as Dr. Woffles Wu (Singapore), Dr. Anjali Mukherji, Dr. Gopinath Shenoy, Mandira Bedi, Dr. Ryan Fernando, Dr. Chytra Anand (India), Dr. Jamuna Pai (India), Yasmin Karachiwala as well as Rahul Deshpande, Sr. Group Director, Informa Markets in India and Yogesh Mudras, Managing Director, Informa Markets in India.
The event had more than 100 industry experts and distinguished speakers from all over the world, including, Dr. Woffles Wu (Singapore), Dr. Patricia Ogilive (Germany), Dr. Sabine Zenker (Germany), Dr. Chytra Anand (India), Dr. Jamuna Pai (India), Dr. Marva Safa (Switzerland), Dr. Pegha Dehdari (Dubai), and Dr. Tingsong Lim (Singapore), amongst others. The significant exhibitors included Allergan Healthcare, ExoCoBio, Benev Eunsung Global, Aakaar Medical Technologies, BNC Global, Dermakor, A.Menarini India, BTL Aesthetics, Spectra Medicals, Leader Healthcare India and many more.
The event covered a wide array of topics through a conference programme and live streaming sessions. The first day sessions included ‘Injecting Confidence: Exploring the Latest Innovations & Techniques in Aesthetic Injectables,’ by Dr. Chytra Anand and Dr. Jamuna Pai, and Unmasking the Science of Pigmentation: Investigating the Latest Breakthroughs in Treatment & Management,’ with experts Dr. Tingsong Lim and Dr. Kiran Lohia, among others. Another interesting session was on ‘Beauty Lies in the Eyes of the Beholder: Concept of Beauty in India,’ with participation from leading Indian beauty and fitness influencers.
On the second day, more themes were discussed, such as ‘From Flab to Fab: Body Concerns + Genitals + Male Aesthetics’ and ‘Acne & Scars: A Journey from Self-Consciousness to Self-Confidence’, amongst others.
