Adwaita Nayar, Co-founder of Nykaa and CEO of Nykaa Fashion, has been included in the 40 individuals chosen for the World Economic Forum’s Young Global Leader Class of 2024. The Young Global Leaders Community is an international collaborative effort to bring together a diverse group of business professionals, technical innovators, teachers, social progress pioneers, and other leaders from various walks of life. Nayar’s inclusion is a sign of her exceptional achievements and drive.

Adwaita Nayar started Nykaa with her mother, Falguni Nayar, and has been the cornerstone to its immense success and growth since 2012. In 2018, Adwaita completely took charge of Nykaa Fashion, expanding it to cater to its wide consumer base. Nykaa has swiftly transitioned from a strictly e-commerce platform to an omnichannel one, expanding to 30 stores in 18 months. Adwaita  also played a pivotal role in impressing investors during Nykaa’s IPO, conducting over 300 roadshows to display their range. Under her guidance, Nykaa Fashion has established partnerships with several leading international and domestic brands and targeted a range of audiences and consumers with her products.

Adwaita, in her statement, has mentioned that she is grateful for the opportunity to network with and listen to talented individuals from across the world. She hopes that she can take what she learns from her membership as a Young Global Leader and apply it to her own homegrown business venture.

This is not Adwaita’s and Nykaa’s first acknowledgement of success. Nykaa has previously received several awards nationally and internationally. Most prominently, Nykaa has been featured on the TIME100 Most Influential Companies List.
