The Haryana government has laid out new guidelines for salons and beauty parlours which must be followed to ensure reopening of their salons. For barber shops in non-containment zones to reopen the guidelines to be followed include masks, head covers and aprons for staff members, masks for clients inside the salons and hand sanitizers will be made available at entry. Disinfection and sanitization the workstations and equipment after each service is mandatory. Disposable towels/paper sheets shall be used for each client who requires waxing services. Posters about cough etiquette and social distancing will be displayed at the entrance of the salon/barber shop. If a client is found with symptoms of COVID-19, then he/she should be referred to the health department.
