In light of the global pandemic, healthcare professionals have advised people to not touch their faces to contain the spread of the virus. Kshama Raj, a consumer analyst at GlobalData says, “A person is most likely to change their habits when faced with intense emotions and the fear felt during the COVID-19 pandemic cannot be doubted”. She further stated that the Indian market has the potential to innovate and experiment and the Indian consumers are developing an interest in beauty devices. This creates opportunities for Indian skincare brands to launch beauty products with contactless formats including roll-ons, sticks, and sprays, unlike droppers, tubes, and pump bottles which involve applying the product on the face via dispensing on the hands.
