The natural and organic product market which was soaring in Europe is going through a dull phase owing to the Coronavirus. The European beauty industry has concerns about a probable shift in consumer behaviour. Their concern is that the consumers will choose conventional products offering antibacterial claims as they are cautious about the effectiveness of organic and natural products. Samantha Dove, BPC analyst, Mintel says, “A heightened demand for antibacterial claims in the initial aftermath of the COVID-19 outbreak saw consumers move away from natural and organic products to give themselves the best possible protection against the virus.”
