The COVID-19 pandemic and the nation-wide lockdown has badly hit the economic status of the country. In wake of this, the central government announces the next round of ‘financial relief package’. P.M. Modi, F.M. Nirmala Sitharaman and ministry officials conducted a final round of discussions on the stimulus package on May 2. The F.M. interacted with CMDs and CEOs of public sector banks, regarding the relief agenda including credit sanctions, credit flow, disbursements since March 1 and four more items to prepare the financial system for the next big move, say sources.
