Bollywood Actress Bhumi Pednekar spoke at the India Summit 2025 about how she broke conventional beauty standards as she entered Bollywood with her first film Dum Laga Ke Haisha. She reminisced how she never fit in the typical traditional beauty mold while growing up, but she never let society define her, and instead created her niche and her own identity.

Bhumi spoke about her role in her first movie for which she had to put on 40 kilos. She said that this gave her confidence to embrace her beauty. She has been touted as one of the most attractive women in India but she believes that the real beauty comes from within.
