L’Oréal , a premier beauty brand, will open its first global technology hub in Hyderabad, investing more than Rs 3,500 crore till 2030. This announcement was made after the formal partnership agreement between Nicolas Hieronimus, CEO of L’Oréal, and Telangana Government’s senior officials during the World Economic Forum (WEF) 2026 at Davos.

It is touted as the company’s first dedicated beauty tech hub to be centered on the development of advanced online platforms for data management through Agentic AI and Generative AI. To reach the planned potential of beauty AI tech for L’Oréal’s large portfolio, the company will employ around 2000 tech professionals, including AI specialists, engineers, and data experts. Additionally, the hub will support the brand’s global presence via the latest beauty tech while also fostering skill development and employment opportunities in the state.

Speaking on the partnership, Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy stated that it directly supports the ‘Telangana Rising: 2047 Vision’ by creating 2,000 high-value jobs and positioning the state as a global epicentre for AI and digital excellence. 

With the intention to elevate the company’s operations in India, L’Oréal CEO Nicolas Hieronimus said the hub is harnessing India’s world-class tech and AI engineering expertise to power their new global Tech Hub, and this first-of-its-kind Beauty Tech Hub reinforces the company’s commitment to India’s growth and their leading role in the 2026 India-France Year of Innovation.
