HBS 2024 Ladies Hairdressing, Ladies Hair Colour Winner, Sameer Mohite reflects on the winning look that propelled him to success and shares insights from his experience.
1.What was your inspiration for creating this look?
This vibrant green hairstyle was inspired by the lush beauty of nature and the urgent need to promote environmental consciousness. By blending various shades of green, we aimed to capture the essence of flourishing greenery and the vital message of “Go Green, Save Green.” This look symbolizes the harmony between natural beauty and sustainability.
2.What challenges did you face during the course of this competition?
Creating a nature-inspired green hairstyle presented unique challenges. Finding a model who could not only confidently wear such a bold look but also represent the hairstyle’s environmental message proved difficult. Sameer had to interview several candidates before finding the ideal match. Time was another obstacle; the complex hairstyle had to be completed in just three hours while being scrutinized by industry experts
3.How did you prepare for the look?
I had been eager to compete in the HBS for a while and had dedicated time to both formal training and on-the-job learning. When the competition was announced, I immediately began planning my entry. The most challenging part was developing my hair look and finding the perfect model to showcase it.
4.Your message for the new contestants?
Confidence is key. HBS is a high-level competition evaluated by industry professionals. Therefore, dedicate yourself to comprehensive training, both technical and mental preparation. The competition environment can be intense, so rigorous practice is essential to master skills and knowledge. Take your time to perfect your look and model selection.
