The awards season kicked off with the Golden Globes Awards on January 7, 2024. It celebrated the amazing film and television shows of the past year, marking the first red-carpet event of the year. In addition to celebrating the outstanding work of the actors, the event also served as a predictor of the upcoming year’s hair, make-up, and manicure trends.

Margot Robbie – Barbie Glam
Margot Robbie didn’t ditch the Barbie glam on the red carpet. Dressed in Giorgio Armani’s customized pink sequined gown with tulle wrap, she brought the Barbie pink fever back in 2024. Her bright blonde hair, coloured by Olaplex global ambassador Jacob Schwartz, was styled loosely in waves by hairstylist Bryce Scarlett. Her makeup artist, Pati Dubroff, gave Margot glowing skin, a fresh look with subtle pink lips, making Robbie look like a Barbie in real life.
Selena Gomez – Minimal makeup
Selena Gomez wore an Armani Privé crimson asymmetrical dress with black rosettes to the Golden Globe Awards, which she accessorized with diamond jewelry. Hairstylist, Marissa Marino, went for a slicked-back bun. The singer’s makeup artist, Melissa Murdick, used Rare Beauty products for a subtle base makeup look. Nude lips, brown eyes, a dab of blush and voluminous lashes completed the look.
Florence Pugh – A Contemporary Mohawk
Florence Pugh caught all the attention on the red carpet wearing a Valentino Custom red tulle drape dress with floral adornments. Her faux-hawk hairstyle by hairstylist Adir Abergel was on point to achieve a distinctive look. He used volumizing hair products from his virtue range, like mousse and priming. Pugh’s makeup artist, Alex Babsky, stuck to the neutral palette, letting the fluttery set of lashes do all the talking.
Amanda Seyfried – Seductive Look
Amanda Seyfried wore a black Giorgio Armani Privé gown adorned with pink and black Swarovski crystals and a sequined purple bow around the neckline. Her hair stylist, Renato Campora, styled her blonde strands with a deep side partition. The makeup artist Kate Lee brought the colorful eyeshadow back into action with smokey dark purple eyes, minimal blush and glossy pink lips.
Hailee Steinfeld – Vintage Glam

Rachel Brosnahan matched her look with the red carpet wearing a red Sergio Hudson gown featuring buttons along the length of the dress and a black lace-up corset design on the back. For the makeup, the actress makeup artist Lisa Asharon adhered to her red colour palette opting for a crimson bold lip and a soft rust-colored smokey eye. Brosnahan’s hairstylist, Danielle Priano, went with a slicked ponytail, tying her hair back and adding drama with a red bow.

Dua Lipa arrived on the red carpet wearing a gorgeous black velvet bustier grown with a unique umbrella volume at the hem from Schiaparelli. Billie Eilish shocked the red carpet with her Gen-Z look. The singer wore a Willy Chavarria set featuring a light blue Peter Pan collar shirt, an oversized black jacket, and a beige pleated skirt. For her hair, Eilish flaunted her red and black hair in a high bun atop her head, with the ends pulled out to form a spiky, soft fan surrounding the bun’s foundation. The singer completed the look with minimal makeup by applying a light pink lip colour with a hint of gloss and a sweet blush.
Taylor Swift – Green Perfection
Taylor Swift graced the red carpet wearing a custom green sparkling Gucci gown that sported cutouts on the side and an open back. For her makeup, she opted for a simple and classic look. Swift wore a natural mauve lip with a light smokey eye. What caught attention was her long hair styled in loose barrel curls.
Natalie Portman – Princess Look
