You’ve worked closely with Schwarzkopf Professional for years now. What keeps your trust in the brand, especially when it comes to styling?
For me, it always comes down to performance. As a hairstylist, you need products you can rely on consistently, whether it’s backstage, on shoots, or in the salon. Schwarzkopf Professional has always focused on innovation and real performance, and that’s why there’s a strong level of trust with stylists globally.
Hair styling today feels a lot more effortless and expressive than before. What do you think people in India are looking for from styling products now?
I think people today want hair that looks styled, but not too Nobody really wants stiff hair anymore. They want movement, texture, something that feels easy and natural. At the same time, they still want the product to perform well in Indian weather, so it’s about finding that balance.
Do you think consumers today want styling products that can easily move with them through the day from work to parties to travel, instead of something that feels too “done”?
People don’t have the time to constantly redo their hair anymore. They want products that can move with them through the day and still look good. That’s why flexible styling is becoming so important… you can reshape it, loosen it up, make it cleaner, depending on the moment.
Jim Sarbh has such a unique and effortless sense of style. Why did he feel like the right fit for OSIS+, and why do you think people connect with his vibe so much?
Jim has a very natural sense of style and confidence, which made him a great fit for OSIS+. He’s open to experimenting, but every look still feels authentic to his personality. I think people connect with that individuality today, they want style to feel real and personal, not forced.
The campaign features four different looks using Mess Up, Flexwax, Dust It and Bounty Balm. Which look was the most fun to create on Jim, and which product ended up being the most versatile on set?
The looks using Bounty Balm were a lot of fun because Jim’s natural curls have so much character already, so it was really about enhancing that texture instead of overworking it. Flexwax was probably the most versatile product on set because we could keep reshaping and refining the hair through the day without making it feel heavy or stiff.
