The Estée Lauder Companies (ELC) New Incubation Ventures (NIV) and NYKAA have announced the 12 finalists for BEAUTY&YOU India 2024. This year there were more than 660 participants which was more than double that of 2022, when the program was initiated. The applicants were from more than 50 cities and represented all the different beauty segments.
Out of the 660 applicants, NIV and Nykaa executives chose 12 finalists in three segments namely, GROW (in-market), IMAGINE (pre-launch), and CREATE (storytellers). This year all participants focused on innovation through product technology and platforms, looking at new market and consumer segments, and also patented systems. On 17th October all the finalists will show their start-up pitches to the jury, including Anaita Shroff Adajania,Stylist, Creative Director & Founder, Style Cell; Tarun Tahiliani, Founder and Director, Tarun Tahiliani; Shruti Chandra, Vice President, Invest India; and Samrath Bedi, Executive Director, Forest Essentials. The winners will be announced the same day at The Leela Palace, New Delhi.

According to Shana Randhava, Senior Vice President, New Incubation Ventures, The Estée Lauder, through BEAUTY&YOU India, they aim to showcase and nurture India’s upcoming beauty entreprenuers. India is major player in this industry in the global arena and a program like BEAUTY&YOU shows the entrepreneurial spirit and creativity in the beauty sector.
In this year’s program, all the winners will be have access to the BEAUTY&YOU India Bootcamp wherein they will have personal mentorship sessions with industry experts. In addition all the winners will get financial support through a prize pool of up to 4 crore, or $500k along with access to research and innovation resources, mentorship, and distribution channel access.
