L’Oréal Paris, the world’s leading beauty brand, made a glamorous return as the official beauty partner of the Festival de Cannes, taking place from May 13 to 24, 2025. This year marked the brand’s 28th consecutive appearance at the prestigious film event, embracing the theme “Lights, Beauty and Action,” which reflects its commitment to confidence, individuality, and self-worth. Continuing its mission to uplift women in cinema, L’Oréal Paris presented the Lights On Women’s Worth Award—an initiative that highlights talented female filmmakers and supports their journey in the global film industry.

This year’s festival also marked the Cannes debut of acclaimed Indian actor, producer, and entrepreneur Alia Bhatt. As a Global Ambassador for L’Oréal Paris, she joined long-standing brand icon Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, strengthening the presence of Indian cinema on the world stage. Alia expressed her excitement, stating that beauty, to her, is about individuality and self-expression.

The brand also unveiled the latest beauty trends at Cannes, led by Harold James, L’Oréal Paris’ newly appointed Global Makeup Creative Director. He, along with 30 international artists, presenting innovative looks defining the future of beauty.

In a significant move, L’Oréal Paris has partnered with Indian beauty platform Nykaa as its beauty partner in India to bring the Cannes experience to Indian consumers. Their exclusive Plump Ambition Lip Oil was available only on Nykaa from 1s May during the the span of the festival.

Dario Zizzi, General Manager of L’Oréal Paris India, emphasised the brand’s commitment to diversity, inclusion, and storytelling.
