The drive aims to educate people about the importance of mental well-being and how to maintain a healthy technological-human interaction. The drive urges people to put away all their gadgets for a few hours every month for the betterment of their health. The WDDD drive wants to promote change by bringing together government leaders and corporates by creating through digital detox awareness via its Ambassadors. The organisation seeks help from governments, celebrities, wellness groups, and technology firms for spreading awareness about this drive. Started in 2016 as a part of Global Wellness Day, this campaign is to emphasize harmful effects of the extensive use of technology and social media on mental health.
