Sayaji Zunjar, Founder and Executive Director of Sayaji Beauty Concept and Academy has been chosen as the State President of Maharashtra Nabhik Mahamandal by the collective consent of the people from 36 districts across Maharashtra. Notably, he is the first state president to belong to the professional salon industry. This organization was established in 1981 and is the mother institute of the community. In the current scenario, he serves as a prominent figure in the professional hair industry.

Based in Kolhapur, Maharashtra, Sayaji Zunjar belongs to Yalgud,a small village in the Hatkanangle taluka.  His journey from setting up a traditional salon in a tiny village to leading an ultra-modern salon is truly inspiring. A professional with over three decades of experience, his contributions to the societal organizations is noteworthy. By propagating his ideas and modern concepts to the modern salon industry in small towns to metro cities, Sayaji Zunjar has always extended support to budding talents to venture into building up their startups. This has led to a fostering of bonds and solidarity in the professional salon and lifestyle industry.

Mr. Zunjar plays a pivotal role in organizing the industry as a whole. Sayaji Zunjar, a former barter system trader, has been tirelessly working to educate new generations about its importance. Despite childhood hardships, he has persevered for three decades, demonstrating gratitude and a philosophy of giving back to society, despite the challenges it presents.

Young talent is still being trained at his Sayaji Hair and Beauty Concepts Academy and training center in Kolhapur, Maharashtra, one of the most well-known businesses in the state. The Central Government has registered the salon’s name and emblem as a trademark. A total of 350 students have completed his training program and established themselves as professionals here since 2014. Sayaji’s students are currently employed all over the world, from San Diego, California, to Kolhapur, Sangli, Solapur, Indapur, Pune, Bangalore, Goa, and Mumbai. Because of his ability to inspire others through his speeches and his dedication to helping children from low-income, unassuming backgrounds receive professional training, he has earned the title of “youth icon.”
