As CEO of Looks Salon, Samir Srivastav will lead the group business and drive it’s growth strategy, with an emphasis on the regions of West, East and South India and build the company’s global presence through focused approaches to scale it to greater heights.
Sharing this news with StyleSpeak, Samir mentioned that additionally, he will play a pivotal role in mentoring the Directors, Samay Dutta, Sabhya Dutta and Shivam Dutta and help augment the growth path.
Presently, Samay Dutta is the Managing Director, Sandeep Dutta, Director Finance, Sabhya Dutta, Director Franchise & Partner operations and Shivam Dutta, Director The Salon Factory – the private label business of Looks.
Samir, who has over 22 year experience in the beauty industry, was the CEO of Jean Claude Biguine Salon & Spa in his last assignment. As CEO of Looks, he aspires to expand the Looks brand in the Indian sub-continent, Southeast Asia, and the Middle East, offering brand familiarity to the Indian diaspora in these markets.
As a part of its growth strategy, Looks Salon plans to tap into the rapidly growing beauty industry & male grooming segment and harness its full potential with Looks Barber Shop – one of its kind male grooming services salon. Yet another expansion on the cards is The Salon Factory, where the brand plans to create a Skin Care, & Body Care range of products and other essential beauty accessories under its banner.
Sanjay Dutta started the Looks journey in 1989 with a 3 chair barber shop that has now evolved into the country’s largest chain of salons. Looks currently has 190 outlets across 51 cities, with 50 more in the pipeline. With the ambitious aim of becoming India’s largest luxury Salon with 500 salons by the end of 2026, it intends to introduce luxury hair and beauty services to its Indian consumers through salon formats with international brands.
