Mondi, a leading packaging and paper manufacturer has joined hands with Kao, a Japanese consumer goods manufacturer, to produce a recyclable packaging solution for Goldwell hair lightening products. This lightweight product trims the use of plastic but still keeps it durable and strong. Goldwell, a professional brand of Kao, had its products packaged in rigid plastic bottles but with Mondi’s new solution, it will cut down on plastic by a whopping 80%. The products will be kept in flexible, re-closable stand-up packets made out of mono-material. The pouch has paper instructions in a carton box so that it can be stacked when in storage. All the empty packets can be folded flat for easy and efficient transfer to the factory. This packaging is safe and no chemicals can come out of these tightly sealed packs. It has a recyclable top slider and temper-evident membrane that can be easily re-closed.
