February 8, 2022:Nail-painting will no longer be a lengthy process as world gets its first ever robot manicurist termed as Clockwork. Francisco-based entrepreneur Renuka Apte along with co-founder Aaron Feldstein has started a company called Clockwork which has 4 robots or machine manicurists. These robots are equipped to paint the nails of all sizes and shapes of people aged 13 and more. The AI functions with the help of 3D cameras. The robots currently have 25 nail colours but will be added with new shades gradually as told by Apte. The robots work in real-time and have a smooth disengagement feature which enables clients to remove their hand from the machine at any given time. The nail-painting process is completed in approximately 10 minutes.
