March 9, 2022: Marriott International has opened its 9th property in India; Bengaluru. The JW Marriott Bengaluru Prestige Golfshire Resort & Spa is a 301 -room resort in the Nandi Hills area. It is approximately 20 minutes away from the Bengaluru international airport. This property is a part of the deal with Prestige Group.
In November 2019, Marriott International made a six hotel -deal with the Prestige Group in order to spread its presence in India. As per this deal, Prestige Group will build new hotels with the W, JW Marriott, Tribute Portfolio and Moxy brands in South India.
The new resort is one of its kinds in South Asia. Apart from luxurious spa, it includes a Convention Center sprawling over 35,000 square feet. The resort also has 24,000 square feet of pillar-less space which can host over 4,000 guests, ideal for weddings, award nights and corporate events.
