31 Mar 2022: KEF Holdings, a UAE-based brand is planning to establish a wellness resort worth Rs 800 crore in Kerala. The resort will be a holistic healthcare centre that will integrate Ayurveda, modern medicine, spiritual well being, and Tibetan medical practices. The centre will have facilities like Yoga, meditation and healing.
The environment-friendly resort will be powered on solar energy. It will have no air-conditioning, with the temperature being maximised through radiant cooling. It will also have self-sufficiency in water through rainwater harvesting.
KEF Holdings mainly targets people from the Gulf and Europe through its medical tourism initiatives. As the latest venture is located close to Kozhikode international airport, the travel time of visitors will be reduced.
The resort should be open to the public on 12th March 2023 and will be fully operational by 2024.
