ITC Maurya, a five-star deluxe hotel, has been asked to pay a compensation of INR 2 crore to Aashna Roy, a model for spoiling her hair that was the source of her income.
The model visited the hotel salon and asked the hairdresser to cut her hair keeping the long flicks covering her face and do a four-inch straight hair trim of her hair at the back. However, the hairstylist, has been accused of cutting off the entire length of her hair, leaving only 4 inches of hair. It was reported that the salon staff also burnt her scalp, which became a case of medical negligence. Further, the model who was hired for hair ads and shoots also faced the prospect of loss of her source of income.
The hotel has offered a free hair treatment to the model but it was too late as the model filed a complaint against them and the National Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission has asked them to make the necessary compensation.
