L’Oreal’s Garnier plans to make India one of its top five markets as it sees great potential for growth here due to its population and market size. At present, India is among its top 10 markets according to Garnier’s global brand president at L’Oreal, AdrienKoskas. However now, the company sees immense growth in the country due to its market size and population. In a bid to expand its presence in India, Garnier opened its first plastic waste collection center in the South in Chennai. It aims to collect 2,000 tonnes of plastic waste within the first year of operation. This plastic will be used to make the packaging for Garnier’shaircare products. It will also help in giving employment to about 2,000 locals.
