Delhi High Court ruling on cross-gender massage in spas challenged

Association of Wellness Ayurveda and Spa had filed a petition before the Delhi High Court challenging the rules that prohibit cross-gender massage in spas. The court will hear the case on 20th September 2021 as the Delhi government said that the guidelines were to still to be notified. In the petition, the Association has stated the spa centers were being troubled across New Delhi. They were being asked to revamp all the spas to have both men and women’s areas separated. The Association argued that this step was regressive as men and women work together in their office setups and also in fitness centres.
