Amorepacific has started a new R&D center to study more about a new probiotic strain found in green tea leaves grown in Jeju organic green tea garden in South Korea. This newly discovered strain called APSulloc is being researched at the center with Professor Dr. Wilhelm Heinrich Holzapfel, an expert in microbiota.
As per the study, this strain is hardier than the others and can stay better in the intestinal track with all the antibacterial and antibiotic resistant properties. It was also found that the probiotic strain reduces inflammation level factors in the stomach.
In the future, Amorepacific’s study will focus on researching the effects of this new strain on cosmetic products and health foods.
