The highly recognized Academy Awards is always witnessed giving recognition to films, actors and documentaries. However, the hair and make-up category was never given its due credit and recognition until 2013. The Oscars 2020 which will be held on February 9 has a total of five nominations in the hair and make-up category. The nominees are Bombshell, Judy, 1917, Joker and Maleficent: Mistress of Evil. Few of the winners for best make-up and hair category in the past are An American Werewolf in London, 1981, Mrs. Doubtfire, 1993 and The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King, 2003, The Wolfman, 2010 and Darkest Hour, 2017.
