Global SS Beauty Brands, a unit of Shoppers Stop will focus on mass beauty market and introduce more affordable brands such as Armaf and Note Cosmetique. According to CEO Biju Kassim, the mass beauty segment is where the next level of growth lies. This move comes at a time when the BPC market is valued at USD 21 billion and is expected to reach USD 34 billion by 2028. India will be one of the fastest-growing beauty markets across the world expanding at 10% annually and will surpass China which will increase at 7% yearly.

Global SS Beauty Brands has collaborated with Note Cosmetique, a Turkish beauty brand it will distribute in India. Note has been available in India through the digital medium but with this new collaboration, it will expand the reach through both offline and online retail. Its colour cosmetics products will start from INR 399 and the range will mostly be available under INR 1,000.

Biju Kasim sees great opportunity for global brands who want to enter the Indian beauty market with high-quality but affordable products. The mass market for beauty products is bouncing back after a slump in the recent past.
