L’Occitane International observed a surge in the demand for hand washes and hand creams. Owing to sales of these items in South Korea, company’s performance boost by 18.8%. In wake of this, the company is planning to develop new products from the hand care and personal hygiene categories to match up the growing demands of the market. Andre Hoffman, vice chairman of L’Occitane International said, “ Sales in our hand care category have increased as a percentage of total sales since the COVID19 outbreak started. We are also adapting further to this rising demand by launching new products such as a hand purifying gel, which we feel will be a great add-on product for travel retail.”
