Except Chennai, Tamil Nadu re-opens salons

All salons across TN got the green signal from government on May 23 except those in Chennai. In an announcement, C. M. K. Palaniswami stated that salon owners should follow the safety guidelines of social distancing at workplace and wear masks. Further, he added that the shops should be disinfected at least five times a day and frequent hand washing should be practiced. The salons can function from 7 am to 7 pm without using air-conditioners and any customer/worker with symptoms of a flu or COVID-19 will not be allowed. Additionally, those living in the containment zones are not permitted to work in salons.
