Cosmoprof India 2024 edition kicked off in Mumbai on 4th December at the Jio World Convention Centre, showcasing the burgeoning Indian beauty and personal care industry. The three-day event saw more than 700 exhibitors from 22 nations including Brazil, Australia, and Germany, amongst many others and attracted more than 11K industry visitors. The 2024 edition has segments featured, Cosmopack – for supply chain solutions and Cosmoprof – for finished products. A unique feature this year is the ‘Cosmoprof India My Match,’ a business matchmaking portal that will connected exhibitors with more than 200 buyers from the international arena, including the UK, UAE, Singapore, and Sri Lanka.
The much awaited Cosmoprof India Awards ceremony concluded with a glittering fashion show which saw Paras and Shalini of Geisha Designs presenting their new collection titled ‘Audrey’, showcasing a mix of modern and vintage ware using tulle and chiffon fabrics with embroidery and jewel toned shades.
Cosmoprof India 2024 Day 1, 2 and 3
The first day of the event had discussions on the minds of innovators, redefining consumers & categories, and the rise of Indian women entrepreneurs, amongst others.
On day two of the event, top notch trendsetters, industry leaders, and visionaries from the beauty and cosmetics world engaged in insightful panel discussions. The talks ranged from texture and ingredients to sustainability innovations, and a lot more. Brands showcased cutting-edge products. One of the highlights was the One Shot by OnHair- NEW 2024, that saw a lineup of performances, showcasing skill, creativity, and artistry. The platform was set for excellent networking opportunities, inspiring ideas, and valuable collaborations.

Day three of the event saw interesting panel discussions under Cosmotalks, where visionaries and industry leaders, spoke about the latest trends, issues, and innovations that will shape the beauty industry. Another interesting highlight was the World Massage Meeting. In its second edition, it delved into blending of western methodologies with Eastern knowledge (Ayurveda), and tradition, a new approach to global wellness. This year also saw a special space for Indian Startups where innovative ideas and next-gen trends were promoted and discussed.
Cosmoprof India also had insightful industry discussions with Lakme Lever’s CEO Vipul Chaturvedi speaking about the growth scope of the Indian salon industry. Fixderma India’s managing director Shaily Mehrotra gave insights on skin health and effects of aesthetics in the long run. Some of the other eminent speakers included Looks Salon’s CEO Samir Srivastav and Broadway Retail’s CEO Vivek Biyani. Many of them spoke about India’s rising popularity in the global market and the increase in demand for premium beauty products.
The Indian beauty and personal care industry is on a high with a projected revenue of USD 30 billion by 2025 and is expected to see a huge growth. Yogesh Mudras, managing director of Informa Markets in India expects the market to touch USD 34 billion by 2028 due to high demand for premium products.

According to Antonio Bruzzone, CEO of BolognaFiere, the Indian market is Asia’s second-fastest-growing in the beauty sector. Tarun Sharma, co-founder of MCaffeine feels that the India market has immense growth opportunities as the per capita spending on beauty products is at USD 18, which is much lesser than countries like US and Hong Kong.
