MARC Salon Furniture has introduced a new community-driven programme titled “Salon Revamp,” aimed at upgrading independent barbershops across India through infrastructure and equipment support. The initiative forms part of the company’s broader CSR efforts focused on strengthening grassroots businesses within the grooming sector.

Under the programme, selected neighbourhood barbershops will receive a complete makeover that may include redesigned interiors, repainting, upgraded salon stations, ergonomic barber chairs and professional grooming equipment. The objective is to help small business owners create more functional and professional workspaces while improving the overall customer experience.

Rather than concentrating solely on premium salon infrastructure, the company is positioning the initiative as an effort to support the wider barbering community, which continues to play a significant role in India’s beauty and personal care ecosystem.

Durgesh Sharma, managing director of MARC Salon Furniture, shared that the initiative was built around the idea of giving back to the professional community connected to the brand. He noted that the company sees infrastructure support and better equipment access as important tools for helping barbers strengthen their businesses and improve long-term livelihood opportunities. Sharma added that the campaign is intended to create tangible impact at the local level by upgrading one shop at a time.

The company also plans to document the transformations through a digital storytelling campaign featuring before-and-after visuals, personal stories from barbers and reactions from local communities. The content initiative is expected to be rolled out across beauty, retail, business and lifestyle platforms to encourage wider conversations around entrepreneurship and infrastructure development in the grooming industry.

MARC Salon Furniture supplies salon furniture and equipment to more than 40,000 salons worldwide with a focus on design-led and functional salon solutions. The Salon Revamp initiative helps it to support independent professionals working at the foundation of India’s barbering industry.
