Luxury wellness brand Atmantan Wellness Centre has unveiled plans for a large-scale integrated wellness retreat in Hyderabad, marking its next phase of growth beyond its flagship destination in Maharashtra. The upcoming project is being developed in collaboration with Swela Realty LLP and is expected to open between 2028 and 2029.
Spread across nearly 50 acres, the proposed retreat will feature 100 rooms and extensive wellness infrastructure designed to cater to both domestic and international travellers seeking preventive healthcare, rejuvenation and longevity-focused programmes. The development will include more than 180,000 sq ft of built-up space, of which approximately 80,000 sq ft will be dedicated to wellness facilities.
Located roughly an hour from Rajiv Gandhi International Airport and connected to the city through Hyderabad’s Outer Ring Road network, the property is being planned amid rocky hill formations and green landscapes, offering a secluded environment while remaining easily accessible.
The project has a personal dimension for partners Swaran Charlakola and Spoorthi Reddy, whose family background is rooted in holistic medicine. The initiative is inspired by the vision of their late mother, Dr. Sweta Reddy, who had envisioned creating a world-class wellness destination in Hyderabad.
In a joint statement, Atmantan founders Sharmilee Kapur and Nikhil Kapur said the natural setting of the site and the family’s long-standing belief in healing and wellness aligned closely with Atmantan’s philosophy of combining evidence-based practices with holistic care. They noted that the Hyderabad retreat would follow the brand’s large-format wellness model, accommodating around 130-150 guests daily.
According to Charlakola, the collaboration reflects a shared belief that longevity and holistic wellbeing are becoming increasingly important priorities worldwide. He said the goal is to create a destination that delivers lasting value while contributing to the region’s wellness landscape.
The resort’s design will incorporate environmentally conscious features, preservation of the site’s natural ecology, biophilic elements and aspirations for LEED Gold certification. Atmantan said the Hyderabad property will bring together traditional Indian healing systems, modern diagnostics, therapeutic interventions and preventive healthcare programmes under one roof, further strengthening India as a transformative wellness tourism hub.
