Chanel, a premier makeup brand, has come up with a new collection linked to its famous Rouge Noir, launched in 1994.  This collection is an upgrade to the Rouge Noir, with shades ranging from black to red, including hues of satiny mauve-brown and rose-grey that go beautifully with its eye shadows in brick brown, purplish pink, and mauve-beige. Ammy Drammeh, world-renowned makeup artist, has sketched the entire range with multiple products for the nails, lips, and eyes.

For many years, Chanel’s favourite product was pale pink (Ballerina), but when Le Vernis Rouge Noir was launched in 1994, it became an instant sensation. It made headlines in the autumn/winter ready-to-wear that year. Initially, it was created for the ramp when Heidi Morawetz, Chanel’s leading makeup artist, was trying to create a look blending black and red. It was out of stock soon after its launch and was also said to have recreated an interest in nail enamels.

It is to be seen what impact the updated version has, as now it’s a complete collection. The start has been promising with Chanel doing its launch brand campaign with Japanese actress Nana Komatsu.
