Kareena Kapoor Khan has long been admired for her beauty and elegance, but the Bollywood star insists that her approach to ageing does not include surgeries, fillers, or injectables. In a recent conversation with Barkha Dutt on her podcast, she explained that her idea of staying youthful comes from lifestyle choices rather than cosmetic procedures.

When asked about Botox and other interventions, Kapoor Khan made her stance clear. She said she is strongly against Botox, preferring instead to focus on health, natural therapies, and self-preservation through balance. For her, holidays, quality time with family and friends, and engaging in activities beyond work are ways of maintaining both body and mind. She stressed that preserving her natural self and her talent is more important than undergoing procedures.

Medical experts, however, pointed out why Botox remains popular. Dr. Nilesh G. Satbhai, Head of Plastic, Hand & Reconstructive Microsurgery and Transplant Surgery at Gleneagles Hospital, Mumbai, explained that many people choose the treatment to soften fine lines and wrinkles. The procedure, he noted, works by relaxing facial muscles and is effective for areas such as the forehead, frown lines, and crow’s feet. While quick and non-surgical, he warned that poor administration can lead to drooping eyelids, frozen expressions, or uneven outcomes.

According to him, Botox should only be performed by a qualified specialist, and patients must disclose their medical history and expectations beforehand, as results are temporary and require repeat sessions. Dr. Satbhai emphasised that careful, informed decisions are crucial. Safety, he said, should always outweigh trends often amplified on social media.
