Kama Ayurveda, a renowned Ayurveda skincare brand, has opened its first international store in Notting Hill, London. The brand will also have products in an exclusive counter shortly, in the Harrods luxury departmental store.
The new stand-alone store looks vibrant in red and white candy stripes and has two treatment rooms where guests can get a head massage and their signature facia, while one floor has a tea and tridoshic (balancing all three doshas) menu.
Initially the store will have 32 products including their bestsellers such as kumkumadi, bringadi, urjasura, and amarrupa. The products have been tweaked keeping in mind the weather in the UK. For instance, the night cream is heavier and thicker.
According to Vivek Sahni, Founder of Kama Ayurveda, the brand chose to open its first overseas store in London because it is a business capital, which is multicultural and a global tourist hub. London is also a developed market that understands and likes natural organic products.
