The maiden edition was headlined by Adhuna Bhabani, pioneer of the Indian hairdressing industry, with attendance from industry icons including Aalim Hakim and Avan Contractor.

India’s leading hair and makeup academy, VC Academy, has officially launched the ‘’VC Open House, a pioneering initiative designed to transform professional hair education through open, experience-led dialogue. Moving away from traditional classroom formats, the inaugural event—held on January 5th, 2026—introduced a new philosophy of learning rooted in reflection, shared growth, and community connection.

The first edition featured the celebrated hair artist Adhuna Bhabani, who brought over 30 years of industry experience into an insight-rich setting. Through candid conversations, real-life experiences, and reflective discussions on her journey, Adhuna inspired attendees to think deeper, remain curious, and embrace the mindset of lifelong learning. Speaking about the experience, Adhuna Bhabani shared, “After a long time, I experienced a session that felt truly meaningful and intimate. Everyone in the industry should experience the VC Open House.”

The event was attended by leading industry voices, including Aalim Hakim, Avan Contractor, Shine Janardhan, Sumit Malkotia (Ikonic), and Nitin Manchanda (Wella Professionals), whose presence and encouragement added depth and credibility to the inaugural edition. Renowned stylist Aalim Hakim reflected on the session, saying, “Listening to Adhuna’s journey—from her beginnings to building a global brand—was both enlightening and motivating. It reminded us that we must always remain students and lifelong learners.

The experience was humbling and deeply enriching.” Echoing this sentiment, Avan Contractor added, “The open-house format encouraged honest conversation, shared experiences, and the discovery of creative gems. It made the session truly engaging and inspiring.” Curated and hosted by Vipul, the VC Open House was designed to foster meaningful dialogue rather than formal instruction, creating a space where artists, educators, and professionals could connect authentically.
