Purplle, the online beauty retailer will be opening physical retail stores in 2022 with one already launched in June in Delhi. The spacious store has augmented reality-based technology like a virtual beauty mirror and artificial intelligence, making it a very tech-savvy beauty outlet. By the end of 2022, Purplle aims to have 10 such stores in India. Once the brand is comfortable with this new model of functioning it will launch more stores at a faster pace. In addition to this, the company also plans to invest in data science, technology, and marketing. It aims to spend a minimum of USD 25 million in marketing itself. Purplle is also looking at acquiring beauty brands, add them to its portfolio and get some international brands to India too. It has also signed up with a few brands in Korea to fulfill the demand for K-beauty.
