Kerala will now be opening its arms to welcome the wellness tourists with amazing packages to experience the beauty of Ayurveda. The Responsible Tourism Mission under the Tourism Department has started working on a project where around 48 farmers across the state who own medicinal plant gardens ranging from 3 to 10 acres and around 180 small scale medicinal farmers will be a significant part to make it a success. Rupesh Kumar, RT mission coordinator said, “This project will give them an opportunity to take their guests to the medicinal plant farms and the tourists will be able to come close to the traditional and authentic form of cultivation and preparation of ayurvedic medicines,” he said.
