Due to the spread of COVID-19, India’s sanitizer market has rapidly grown. While labs across the world are working on a vaccine, people are focusing various protective hygiene practices such as washing hands, applying hand sanitizers, wearing gloves and masks, etc. The size of this category reached Rs 43 crore from Rs 10 crore a year ago, according to Nielsen India. Nielsen has stated that since March, there are 152 new manufacturers, who have started making sanitizers, leading 61% market and 46% value share.
