On the corner of Kemps Boulevard, at Kwality House, lies the swanky new Elle Salon. It is a little haven from the hustle and bustle of one of the busiest areas of Mumbai. With the constant flow of clients visiting the salon and the exceptional service, I was tempted to visit Elle Salon.

This salon has introduced a cosmeceutical salon format using International products, which are specialized in beauty, hair, nail, brow, lash and many more International treatments not commonly found in most salons in India. It offers extensive range of services like ELEMIS pro-collagen defy facial, Marc Anthony hair rituals spas, Nouveau Lashes eyelash extensions to name a few. This made it all the more difficult for me to choose the treatment I would like to take.

In an effort to reverse the damage caused to my skin thanks to the summer, I decided to opt for Elemis Facial – White Brightening Pigment Perfector.

My Experience

When it comes to your skin looking clean and bright, there is only so much make-up and a concealer can do. Ideally, it is all about the skincare regime and diet one follows, to keep the skin looking fresh, clean and supple. The Elemis Facial – White Brightening Pigment Perfector claims to offer exactly that.

Upon my arrival, I was greeted with a warm welcome at the reception, after which I was asked to take a seat, until the therapist arrived.  As soon as Rinki Patil, the therapist was introduced to me, she ushered me through a dim lit passage and into the treatment room. It looked rustic with subdued lighting, with red walls and dark brown furniture was a stark contrast to its salon décor. I was then asked to change into a long robe and after consulting about my skin; Rinki then ensured that I was completely relaxed before diving into the treatment.

My therapist began the facial with a cleanser. My skin is thoroughly cleansed with White Brightening Even Tone Cleanser, the White Brightening Even Tone Lotion is applied before the face and neck are treated with ultrasonic peeling technology. The device draws out impurities and boosts blood circulation. I feel the cool touch of the metal plate which helps scrape off the grime and the tingling feeling caused by the exfoliating lotion, but that is all. Following this, my face and neck were massaged for 15 minutes with White Brightening Even Tone Serum which felt so relaxing and soothing.

A moisturizing and mattifying peel-off cream mask is then applied and kept for 15 minutes. Suitable for all skin types, the mask uses enzymes to promote cell turnover, diminish superficial scars, and brighten uneven skin tone. While my therapist was waiting for the mask to dry, she treated me to a soothing back massage, head massage, hands and foot massage that – combined with the darkness and tranquil music – almost lulled me to sleep. This was nothing less than divine!

The mask was peeled off, Rinki then massaged a moisturizing potion onto my skin, before applying an essential Elemis Oil.

After the amazing experience, I met Nikita Joseph, the trainer who trains and educates the therapists at Elle about the techniques to be followed for Elemis Facial. She recommended six courses to be done once every three weeks.

My Verdict

My skin was smoother to the touch and less dull after the delightful experience. The difference was astounding. My face was glowing and with an even complexion. The overall experience was easily one of the most comforting I have ever had! I would recommend this treatment to anyone suffering from uneven skin tone and discolouration – and in search of an instant skin boost.
